Mr. Rojas founded Andino Asset Management in September 2011. Then he launched the Peru Equity Fund in February 2012. Currently the firm has US$150MM AUM invested in Peruvian Equities. He currently serves as Director of Pesquera Exalmar since March 2013. Prior to Andino Asset Management he worked at Compass Group since March 2006 until August 2011, as Chief Investment Officer of the Peruvian Office. He started as Portfolio Manager of the Compass Latin-American Fix Income Fund with +US$100MM , which he managed until 2010. In September 2006 he founded the Peru Special Investments Fund (PSIF), the first Peruvian Hedge Fund, which he managed for 5 years, leaving it with assets of US$135MM. This hedge fund was one of the best performing emerging markets equity hedge funds for the years 2007 and 2010 and for  5 years since inception. In 2007 he was asked to be part of the Board of Directors of Compass Peru SAFI.  For a short period of time he was also the Portfolio Manager of Compass Colombia office, being the PM of  2 funds with equity strategies that added +US$70MM. Mr. Rojas was also member of the Investment Committee of  “Fondo de Capital Privado I” a Private Equity fund launched in 2008.  Before Compass, he worked for Rimac Seguros, the largest insurance company in Peru, were he was in charge of the annuities and net worth portfolio of the company. There he was involved in all kinds of deals and investments, ranging from private equity, hedge funds, emerging market equities and bonds, including  M&A deals.  Prior he worked in New York and Lima with Deutsche Bank as a sales trader for  the Andean Region. Mr. Rojas studied Business Administration in the Universidad del Pacifico, and had some courses in Harvard and the Universidad TEC de Monterrey. He is a columnist in “G de Gestion” the leading Peruvian business magazine and Director of the Peruvian Chapter for the Hedge Fund Association, a not for profit organization.
